Gerry Murray & Alan Enright were announced as the winners of the Audi Limerick heat of the prestigious Audi quattro Cup, held on 7th June at Limerick Golf Club. The six highest ranking teams, including the winning pair, will progress to the national final of the amateur golf tournament, which will be held at mount Juliet Estate, Co. Kilkenny on 29th August.
The pair swung to victory with a final score of 44 points (25 on the back 9) points, finishing ahead of Seamus Lyons & Mark Fitzgerald 44 points (22 on the back 9). A total of 90 golfers in 22 teams took part in the Audi Limerick heat. Regional heats are currently taking place across some of Ireland’s most prestigious golf courses to determine the national finalists, who will go on to represent Ireland at the World Final in Kitzbühel, Austria from September 23 – 27.
